When you authenticate with Discord to access Canada Ploos, we collect:

  • Your Discord user ID
  • Your Discord username and display name
  • Your Discord avatar (if set)
  • Your Discord server roles (to determine access permissions)
  • Download and quota event data, including requested file path, timestamp, decision status, and bytes requested

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Authenticate and authorize your access to the file browser
  • Display personalized greetings and role-based messages
  • Maintain your login session
  • Ensure only authorized Discord server members can access content
  • Enforce monthly transfer quotas based on your Discord role
  • Prevent abuse, investigate issues, and provide admin quota reporting

3. Data Storage and Security

Your authentication data is stored in a secure JWT (JSON Web Token) cookie on your device. Session tokens expire after 7 days.

To operate quota limits and download auditing, we also store quota usage and download event records in our database. These records include your Discord user ID, quota month, requested path, request outcome (allowed or blocked), requested bytes, and event timestamp.

Access to this data is restricted to administrators for operational, security, and moderation purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Discord OAuth2: For authentication and authorization
  • Amazon S3: For file storage and delivery

These services have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your data.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your login session. These include:

  • session_token - Your encrypted session JWT
  • discord_oauth_state - Temporary OAuth state verification (expires in 10 minutes)
  • discord_oauth_code_verifier - Temporary OAuth PKCE verification (expires in 10 minutes)

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Sign out at any time to delete your session
  • Revoke Canada Ploos's access to your Discord account through Discord's settings

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
